Colombia • La Rivera - Washed
Finca La Rivera is a coffee farm in the Andes Mountains owned by Julio Cesar Madrid Tisnes, a third-generation coffee farmer, known for producing phenomenal coffees over the years. Tisnes, his estates, and his coffees have won multiple awards, including national and world barista championships. All of these achievements are evident in the taste of this offering. Though already sweet and complex from being a pink bourbon varietal, the microclimate of Finca La Rivera gets up to 86 degrees in the daytime and drops to the 50s at night developing lots of additional complexity within the coffee. Finca La Rivera’s soil is also incredibly nutrient rich due to volcano eruptions of recent past.
This coffee absolutely blew us away, so much that we knew we needed to purchase it the moment we first tasted it. If this isn’t a Harp & Bowl Coffee, we don’t know what is.
