This coffee absolutely blew us away! Frinsa is an innovative coffee estate on the island of Java in Indonesia, run by Wildan Mustova who is focused on experimenting on unique and progressive processing techniques. In fact, the “collective” part of the name refers to Frinsa’s buying of local coffee producers crop and processing it themselves for the sake of experimentation. Anaerobic fermentation is is becoming more common within the specialty coffee industry, but for Java, it’s pretty rare to see, and the anaerobic natural processing of this coffee brings it to life. We’re willing to bet if you’ve tried coffee’s from Indonesia before this one will be unlike any of your prior experiences.

Noteably, due to the heavy processing the roasted coffee looks darker than it actually is (in terms of roast level) When looking at the green, you’ll notice it’s yellow/orange color as opposed to classic pale green. Heavily fermented coffees will show these darker colors on the green and on the roasted.
